Thirteen swimmers qualified and proudly represented Corrimal Swim Club at the recent Swimming NSW Junior State Championships at SOPAC.   Aya Milton continued her successful season, finishing in the top 10 in six out of her seven races. She placed 3rd in the Girls 12 200m Freestyle and 2nd in the Girls 12 100m Freestyle. On 15 th December 2016 Corrimal Swim Club received confirmation that we have been successful in securing a Grant as part of the Energy Australia Tallawarra Community Grants Program. This Grant will allow us to purchase a set of new Dolphin Timers.   Two Grants in one week! On 14 th December 2016, members from Corrimal Swim Club attended the announcement and presentation of the 2016 NSW Government Community Building Partnership Grants. First short course meet for the season.    All swimmers please be on pool deck at 7.30am with skipping rope, band and/or roller if they have exercises to do for an 8.30am start.    Please make sure you all wear club gear, if you are looking for anything please contact Sue as soon as possible.

There will be NO training Saturday 23rd April due to the Swimwest meet being held on Sunday 24th.  The pool will be closed all day Monday 25th April due to Anzac Day.  Please arrange your sessions accordingly.    Swim meet entries are now due, part of your requirement is to attend 2 swim meets.  Please don't make the excuse the meet was closed due to enough entries.

A friendly reminder, winter fur lined jackets ($130.00 - $140.00) may be ordered for swimmers.    We have a new supplier for our Corrimal Swim Club uniforms and a range of club wear is available. This apparel can only be ordered by the Club in units of approximately 24 so every order helps us to reach this minimum.   The Club is therefore encouraging any swimmer who requires uniform especially a Club track jacket, track pants or track suit for the winter season to order them now....

Please remember that part of your requirement to be in the squad  is to attend a minimum of 2 swim meets during the winter season. A  program has been put together so you can organise which meets you can attend.  Please make sure you are available to attend NSW Country and NSW State Championships, if you qualify.   List of swim meets and links to program and qualifying times are available on the CALENDAR tab above.

On making a second final at the GHF 2016 Australian Age Swimming Championships.   Following Nathan’s 4th place in the 15 years 100m Breaststroke final, Nathan placed 6th in the 15 years 200m Breaststroke final in another pb time 2:28.12.  Well done Nathan, another awesome effort.   Well done to Jayden Hutchinson who was competitive in his four events at his last Australian Age Championships.

CONGRATULATIONS to all swimmers that competed at NSW Country Championships on the weekend.   Another big weekend with extremely long sessions. So many swimmers again did personal best times and achieved top ten placings.
